Our friends over at Roll Call, a respected Capital Hill newspaper, reported today that Dr. Tom Coburn (R-OK), has said that he will not testify about advice he may have given Sen. John Ensign (R-NV) on Sen. Ensign’s affair. Sen. Coburn cites religious counseling and patient confidentiality protections.

One thing the article fails to mention is that Dr. Coburn is an OB/GYN. I’m curious as to what, exactly, he would be treating Sen. Ensign for?
